Do you offer in-person appointments?

At this time, all appointments are offered virtually via telephone or HIPAA-compliant video conference.

What clients do you take?

I work with women who live in Colorado, Oregon, South Dakota and other states, depending on practice laws for Registered Dietitian Nutritionists to practice Medical Nutrition Therapy. Please include your location when you apply to become a client.

Do you take insurance?

I do not take insurance and am considered an out-of-network provider. Many clients pay with Health Savings or Flex Spending accounts, and I’m happy to provide any documentation required by your plan. Insurance typically won’t cover Medical Nutrition Therapy for women’s health as this is considered “prevention.” Insurance doesn’t cover a package and may not cover virtual appointments, especially across state lines. Having a private-pay system allows me to practice with integrity and your best interest in mind.

What labs do you use in your practice?

Hormone Testing: DUTCH

Food Sensitivity Testing: MRT

Gut Health and Microbiome: GI Map (GI Microbial Assay Plus)

Micronutrient Testing

SIBO Breath Testing

Gluten Sensitivity Testing

All labs I have access to are available to clients at wholesale cost. More routine/conventional blood work may be self-ordered or requested through your medical provider.

Why do you choose monthly package model vs. individual appointments?

Nutrition and lifestyle change is a process and healing takes time. I have found my clients have better success making changes, more improvement in their health and are happier when they commit to working together for a minimum of 3 months. This setup allows us to customize the approach we take, build upon the plan over time and troubleshoot any barriers that arise. It allows me to focus more time and energy with fewer clients and to provide a high level of support and more availability to you.

What options are available for follow ups?

Follow ups are included in your 3 month package. Typically clients meet every 2-3 weeks.

After the initial 3 months, you can continue with the same level of support, choose to have one appointment per month or follow up as needed.

What are your specialties?

I specialize in functional nutrition for women’s health including preconception nutrition, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, autoimmune conditions, hormone balance, PCOS, food allergies and sensitivities, improving your relationship with food and body, intuitive and mindful eating.

I am an expert in real/whole/local/sustainable food and have a background in sustainable agriculture.
